ISO Tank Containers

ISO tank container on an intermodal chassis

An ISO tank container is a stainless-steel pressure vessel inside a standard container frame. It carries one grade in a sealed tank that lifts between a road chassis, a rail flat wagon and a vessel without the product being pumped. That makes it the right equipment for multimodal lanes and for parcels too small for a tanker fixture but too valuable to co-load.

Typical cargo

  • Base oils and finished lubricants
  • Additives and specialty chemicals
  • Solvents and blending components
  • Small parcels of refined product for export

How we deploy it

We select the tank code, lining, heating and valve configuration for your product and confirm the cleaning certificate and previous cargo before loading. The tank is booked as one unit through road collection, rail or short-sea leg and final delivery, with the container packing certificate, dangerous goods declaration and customs documents issued before departure. The same tank number tracks the parcel from loading to discharge.
