World Logistics Services arranges air freight for the petroleum consignments that cannot wait for a vessel: additive packs to keep a blending run on schedule, lubricant samples for a customer trial, and spare parts for a terminal, refinery or vessel stopped for repair. We book from Riga Airport and other EU gateways, prepare the dangerous-goods paperwork and track the shipment to delivery.

Dangerous goods by air

Many additives and some lubricants are dangerous goods under the IATA regulations. We check the UN number and packing instruction, confirm the packaging and labelling, and prepare the shipper’s declaration. Where a product cannot fly as packaged, we tell you before booking and offer a compliant alternative. Passenger-aircraft and cargo-aircraft-only restrictions are applied to each item.

Door to door, or airport to airport

You can hand the shipment to us at your site or at the airport. We collect, pack where required, clear export customs, book the flight and arrange import clearance and delivery at destination. For non-EU destinations we prepare the commercial invoice, packing list and export declaration, and advise on any product licence the destination needs.

When air is the right choice

Air freight costs more per kilogram than any other mode. It pays for itself when a stopped plant, a delayed vessel or a missed blend costs more than the freight. If your consignment can wait a few days, we will tell you and quote road or rail instead.
